Tab, zoom and spoken text: reserving a Hartford to Bradley Airport ride without a mouse
Every page of the office in Hartford, CT is built to work without a mouse, so anyone can read the fares and send a request for a ride to or from Bradley International Airport by keyboard, screen reader or zoom.

1. Keyboard order and focus
Tab moves through the menu, the links and every box of the request form in reading order, and a thick outline shows where you are. A link at the very top skips straight to the main content. The menu button on narrow screens opens and closes with Enter or the space bar.
2. Spoken output and labels
Pages use real headings in order, so you can jump from one section to the next. Every form box has a visible label that is read aloud with it, and the line that reports your town and its figures after you type an address is announced when it changes. The outline of each town is a drawing only; the same facts stand next to it in words.
3. Zoom and small screens
Text can be enlarged to twice its size and the pages reflow without sideways scrolling, down to the width of a small phone. Fare tables keep their column headings, and long tables scroll inside their own box rather than pushing the page sideways.
4. Contrast ratios on every page
Body text and links meet a contrast of at least 4.5 to 1 against their background, and meaning is never carried by color alone: prices, hours and runs are always written out in words and figures.
5. Reporting a problem, and vehicles with a ramp
If something on these pages does not work for you, write to replies@americanclassicadventures.com or call +1 (860) 293-7514 between 6:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. Eastern, and the request can be taken by phone instead.
If a rider needs a vehicle with a ramp or lift, tell the car company when it writes or calls about your fare; it answers in writing whether one is available for that date.
